Pattern testing for Snuggle My Baby

This month I’ve been busy doing some pattern testing for a couple of different designers.  The test I just finished is for Snuggle My Baby Patterns. It’s called the Jack and Jackie’s Day to Night Unisex Top from sizes 2T-12 years. It  comes in two fits: regular and slim, and has options for short, long, or flutter sleeves. I chose the short-sleeved option and the finished shirt is reminiscent of a scrub top. Very cool.

Hard to get a blur-free shot of a toddler!

This was a very quick sew and perfect for beginners. From cutting out the fabric to having a finished top it only took a little over an hour. The pattern calls for woven fabric and there aren’t any fastenings or closures to fiddle around with. It simply slips on over the head. It’s a great pattern for color-blocking as well, and many of the testers did just that. I chose some fabulous fabric by Atelier Mi featuring sumo wrestlers for mine. My older boy very graciously modelled it for photos (and if you buy the pattern you’ll see him there as well). The pattern is on sale for $5.00 for a limited time so hop on over to the Etsy shop and check it out.
